  yes, i've been cured, cured, cured from a horrific case of uc 18 years ago. everyone thinks it's bacterial related, but for me, it was yeast in the intestinal tract. i followed the 'feast without yeast' book/protocol, had a huge die-off reaction, and poop'd out the yeast. once i did that, my symptoms and all meds stopped. i was diagnosed with uc via colonscopy and tissue analysis and had to go on pred 3 times.

  I just wanted to add weight to this by relaying a very similar experience.To cut a long story short I - after suffering from this affliction for many years... think around 15 years- embarked on an Elimination Diet and found that wheat and dairy were the key triggers (tomatoes were an issue for a long time as well as some spices, but that seems to have eased off now). Once I eliminated these and exercises regularly I was virtually symptom free. I do still apply elocon lotion on a weekly basis as an adjunct for preventative measures, but that's about it. I should also add that for me, hard cheeses like parmesan and butter, don't seem to be an issue.
