Interesting. I wonder if my sister is a true narcissist then. For her victims everything you said is true,they are as important as a mailbox flag.

However, she seems to be such a wimp when it comes to taking a firm stand in anything, mostly she speaks through her husband or someone else. E-mails are very popular with her, or telephone. It's like she can hide that way.

She has very low self-esteem, hardly leaves the house and when she has to commit to a family obligaton sneaks off as soon as possible.

She expresses empathy for others but they are victims that you read about in the paper or hear about on the news. Maybe this is just staged, she never acts on it and words are cheap.

Just trying to figure this out. Do you think this is a pattern of a true narcissist?
