ACK...I'm sorry to hear that there is difficulty in swearing out restraining orders in your State! It might be worth the time to call the Clerk's office just to make sure that it refers to "restraining" order, rather than "Order of Protection." He is, indeed, stalking you. His behavior suggests that he's getting desperate for attention, a victim, and/or an altercation. Even if he's a gimpy old man, don't ever let your guard down - it doesn't take a lot of effort to point a gun and pull a trigger.

He's also seeing you as a threat of normality - of survivalship, to be sure. That need to grind a person down to an emotional nub never wears off unless the NPD has an epiphany! Just keep yourself safe, and realize that you do not need to engage in his games - you can make the choice to hang up the phone, show him the door, call the cops, or whatever you might need to do to make yourself safe. And, you are well within your rights, as a human being, to protect your Self!
