Re: The bible is not the word of God that we are to live by.

"then the bible has become an idol for you."

This is only your assumption. We cannot seperate The Written Word from The Living Word.

"the ONLY way to truly understand truth is with the heart."

Not the heart but with the Spirit:

1Co 2:10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.
1Co 2:11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.

Joh 17:17 "Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.

Joh 16:13 "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.
Joh 16:14 "He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.

"a true connection to God begins in the heart."

Again you confuse the heart with the Spirit:

Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Eph 5:26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.

"it is the true nature of God and that nature is imparted into our hearts as we walk with Christ."

You still haven't explained how you determine what the true nature of God is.

2Co 11:14 No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
2Co 11:15 Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

When Satan says: Isa 14:14 'I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.'

Isn't it possible that without The Word of God as our standard of truth the Devil will appear to be God to us? How will we know the difference?

"the kingdom is within"

By the way, within in the Greek is: ἐντόςentos

Within
* Note: This is a translation of (a) entos: see INSIDE, No. 1; in Luk_17:21 the RV marg., "in the midst of," is to be preferred; the kingdom of God was not in the hearts of the Pharisees;
