"truth can be imparted directly from God into your heart. the bible is just a book, it can be a guidepost and a light, or it can be a stumbling block. just as the torah was a stumbling block to the pharisees"

But how do you know what has been imparted into you heart is from God (directly or indirectly)? Without the standard of God's Word we can believe anything we want and call it "imparted truth".
