i honestly don't know what you mean by that. do you mean that that how they did it back then, but its different now, so we don't have to follow that example? if so, then virtually anything in the entire NT could also be explained away as a "cultural issue"

i really don't understand how you can say this verse does not apply because its a cultural thing, but other verses do indeed apply. where do yu draw the line? how do you differentiate between verses that apply today and verses that don't need to be taken seriously because they are "cultural issues"?
