Re: The Reality of Hell

There is NO WORD in either the Hebrew or Greek scriptures that means "eternal" or "everlasting" or "for ever and ever." If you don't agree, prove me wrong SCRIPTURALLY!

You want scriptural proof? The Bible says,

Ecclesiastes 3:14
I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

Proverbs 30:5-6
5) Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

6) Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

By changing the meaning of the words "eternal", "everlasting" & "for ever and ever," then,

eternal salvation is not eternal but only for awhile,
eternal life is not forever,
eternal redemption is not really everlasting,
the eternal inheritance of the saints is not really eternal,

and, more importantly,

Jesus Christ is not the same for ever,
the Holy Spirit does not live in the believer forever,
God's throne does not last for ever and ever,
and God does not live for ever and ever.

Good job! You abolished eternal torment, discredited the rest of the Bible, that you say you believe, and called God a liar.

If you still disagree, that's fine, we'll have to agree to disagree. L. Ray Smith can say and believe whatever he wants to, I choose to believe God instead.
