Re: The Reality of Hell
Jeremiah 23:40
And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.
I think a good example of this is Sodom. When ever some one says Sodom, we always think of the fire that took them away.
I never want to go to another wake, because that is not the lasting picture of that person I want in my mind.
We will have a picture in our mind of the result of sin forever.
It will be like a safeguard against sin ever rising again.
The smoke of their torment will last forever in the back of our minds.
Rev. 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
God could not say this if some of our loved ones were in misery.
