Re: The Reality of Hell
Read Ezekiel 3:18-21 It speaks of how the righteous must warn the wicked and the righteous who are backsliding of what they are doing/facing. I looked up wicked before and it refers to the unrighteous, those who don't know God. It continues with pointing out that it is the fault of the righteous one who said nothing if the wicked or backsliders continure in there current path. But if the righteous does say something then that person's soul is saved regardless of what the wicked/backslider finally does. It's a powerful message for us.
And consider the things that Jesus said. Even though many of those things He stated were obscure He still said them to all persons. Though He pointed out that not all would understand, because not all are called, he still told them none-the-less. We should do the same. Follow Christ's example.
If a person is on the wrong path, and you who see it say nothing, then you too are at fault for his sins. But if you say something and he doesn't take it to heart you have the salvation of knowing that you did as the Lord has bidden you, and tried to help that person. It's up to the person to listen, but it's also important for us to SAY something! So, you'd say something, as would other co-workers, family, clergy, store keepers, etc (add on to the list). Each of you have the calling to help that person (the wicked one) to see what he's doing. Those of you who hold you peace with the idea of "It's not my job." Must also account for the one person's sins. He might have turned to the right path because of your attempts, but you wouldn't ever know that would you?
Remember, we are all sent out to continue Jesus' work on earth just as He taught us to. That includes teaching others of those things that might be uncomfortable to say.
God bless.
