Re: Water Fasting - Day 1
Very good point... Normally death can occur at like 15%-25% dehydration... which is around 15%-25% loss of total body weight - no?
So in Belle's case @182lb lets assume she should be able to dehydrate to 10% safely...
so that when she has lost 18.2lb and reaches 163lb she should cease the fast... I also found this info on dehydration in children about a week ago and I found it was useful for my own dry fast. I could calculate (really mentally spread sheet..) that if I was loosing on average 2lb a day, then I could fast x many days more until I reached 10% dehydration... handy yes?
See this link and one is able o calculate based on their own average daily loss, while keeping in mind the signs to indicate what % dehydration one may be at.. I found that when I should have been 10% I was only barely showing signs of 6%.

(yep im not a child but same principle)
i.e. if Belle looses about the same 2lbs a day then as long as she doesn't exhibit 10% dehydration signs, she theoretically can do 9 days or so... but just be mindful of the signs in the link...
