Re: Blastocystis Hominis Nitazoxanide/Furazolidone/Secnidazole cocktail therapy
Hi Everyone, I have relapsed with Blastocystis. I tested positive in Oct 2015, then took a 10 day course of Flagyl aka Metronidazole, then tested negative (a false negative) in November, and then tested positive again most recently in February 2015.
Proof that Jackie Delaney of BadBugs is correct - Flagyl by itself, one round, is not enough to kill both adults and eggs/cysts off completely. Check out her website BadBugs for treatment options.
Also, check out the Curezone Blog: CURED of PARASITES: Blastocystis Hominis and Dientamoeba Fragilis by Dsquat. Dsquat has posted all the protocols she used, including the useless single Flagyl courses. Her son was also diagnosed with D. Fragilis and cured. She did the triple therapy orally and via colon enema at the CDD in Sydney.
The problem is, Flagyl/Metronidazole only kills the adults. Not the cysts/eggs living in the lumen (colon lining and mucus). You need a lumen active drug to deal with that aspect, such as Paromomycin, Diloxanide Furoate or something with similar properties. This is why single Flagyl courses fail. They do not address the complete life cycle of the pathogen.
And now, back to the drawing board.
P.S. has anyone tried taking food grade diatomaceous earth as a paracidal solution? It is supposed to kill most worms/
parasites on contact. It shreds their microscopic shells. Please note, it must be 'food grade' DE, safe for ingestion, not the industrial grade!
Best,
