Re: Blastocystis Hominis Nitazoxanide/Furazolidone/Secnidazole cocktail therapy

I'm not sure how old this post is but I will answer it anyway for anyone else interested in the subject. My son was struck down with chronic diarrhea a few months ago and after extensive tests was finally diagnosed with Blasto and Dientamoeba. All our research pointed to the CDD in Sydney for the triple drug therapy and Jackie from Bad Bugs pointed us to a Dr Froomes in Melbourne who would act as a go between. There were actually four drugs in the treatment for my son at a cost of around $180 and were couriered to us from Sydney. The treatment was quite brutal and completely obliterated his natural gut flora despite him taking the special probiotics suggested. His tongue turned black and he was very ill. It has been about 2 weeks since he finished the treatment and when asked if he feels better he replies "I feel different but not well". Personally I think there is something else muddying the water here and I suspect it may be a Strongyloide parasite. My daughter and I tested positive for Blasto and Dientamoeba but have no symptoms. It was recommended by Dr Froomes that we too take the therapy but I really don't want to stir up something best left alone. I have sent to the US for Humaworm and will give that a try. We have tried sooo many different things which I don't have time to outline at the moment. Anyway I hope this helps someone.
