Good analogy with the TV.
I don't know about dr.Lam. He seems so understanding and profound in his book that it makes me think his protocol is more gentle that others.
It's hard to believe he could actually make you take more stuff that you don't need because he repeats it over and over how important it is not to overstimulate the body.
I read Sherpas posts and if I remember correctly he said that he was following dr.Lam's protocol in his self guided recovery. I intend to do exactly the same. I'll have to make some modifications to it though.
For instance I take antihistamines to sleep sometimes. To me sleep is THE MOST IMPORTANT. I don't care what I have to take if it allows me to sleep as long as it is not a benzo or a narcotic. There is no recovery possible when you can't sleep. And it will break me mentally. I found my peace of mind lately and it's very fragile.
And I take some nootropics when I crash to not slip into that Depression again. I have to have the will to live to recover and sometimes I lose it again. It scares me for apparent reason...

With this forum I tend to get these obsessive ideas sometimes about the world and how everything is so messed up. I don't know why my mind is so "aggressive" sometimes and it wouldn't just shut up because I have to just analyze everything and think too much. I don't sleep if I read forums at night. It's amazing how powerful the mind is.

I'm going to write more about that alternate nostril breathing technique that I'm doing. It's kind of common knowledge lately so I didn't want to make a separate post about it but I see that you are interested and you have similar problem with controlling your thoughts like I do so it WILL HELP.
The important thing is that you have to do it every day and the results will show only after 8 months or so. I don't have any link about it where you can find it online because my teacher taught me this technique in person.
I was laughing about it when I first started because I really was extremely suicidal and I didn't think such a silly thing as breathing through one nostril could possibly make me not want to kill myself. But after a year I want to have kids now and go jogging every morning(it's powerful stuff!!!)
I just have to make sure I explain it correctly. I'm very confused because of the xanax WD so I have a vague idea of what I'm doing half of the time at all:)
I'll post it here, just check every few days and I'll PM you too.

And thanx for the helpful tips. I'll try the magnesium oil for sure. Sounds like a good thing.
I don't think supplements are bad for you though. Did you here the story about a guy from New Zealand who recovered from swine flu?
It's really amazing story. Makes me so angry about our medical field today.
What are they all doing there at the hospitals just letting people die because they can't give them more expensive drugs?... Such a shame... And I used to work in a hospital believing I was with the "good guys"...
