Re: Study the Maya

veganism, vegetarianism, both have very little, if any real historical support on every front... even most great apes are known to hunt down, kill and eat meat.

There is likely a very strong correlation to the physical stature, strength, health and well being here based upon diet alone between the classes.

However, yes, there could be other factors to consider, such as sanitation... which may, or may not have been a factor.

About nutrition... necessity, and the search for better health, likely led them sometime in the distant past to discover nixtimalization.

So whether or not we ever find out the *whole* truth, which is unlikely given the time separation, we have the people of the past, from all cultures, due to the trials and tribulations that they went through, to thank for the knowledge that we are now able to learn from and use, to improve our own lot.
