Sudden onset of asthma for no apparent reason. What is causing this?
My husband and I moved back to CA from TX four weeks ago. During our move, we stayed in hotel rooms for 8 days, A/C going the whole time. On our last day on the road, I started to feel like I was coming down with something. However, my only symptoms were coughing and wheezing. No sinus problems, no fever, no chills, etc. It is now four weeks later and I am no better. I have coughed so much from the wheezing that I am worried my ribs are going to break. I am barely sleeping, because laying down is near to impossible (due to rib pain and the wheezing gets worse when I lay down.
I have been under a lot of stress for the last 8 months. I also eliminated wheat, dairy, sugar, etc. over two months ago. Doctors have been absolutely no help. They can't tell me what is causing the asthma (clear chest xray and CAT scan) and their explanation is, "well you can develop asthma at any time in your life, for no apparent reason." SERIOUSLY?! Everything has a root cause. My question is, what can I do to get rid of this naturally? Asthma meds have been no help at all. They even gave me a shot today to give me some relief (they told me it should last 10 days) and it has made no difference whatsoever. I am already eating pretty much allergen free and am taking homeopathic candida med, and yet I still got a yeast infection from the
Antibiotics they put me on (went off them today).
I feel in my heart of hearts that I am missing something, that this is not just "something that happens" just because. Doctor I saw today refuses to test for a fungal infection or mold inhalation. Could this be emotionally based and if so, how do I get over it? Could it be
parasite based? Could it be due to adrenal fatigue, which I'm sure my adrenals are. I am desperate, thanks.
