Which pretty much infers that it was not asper. (Or so it does to me (confirmed aspergillus, plus, plus, plus...), as I've taken itra for years, along with terb for six months now - and no abatement of respiratory issue at all.) Yes, people take itra for it, but the drugs of choice are Noxafil (posaconazole), Capsofungin, or V-fend (in descending order of success rate.

Depends on where it is and what kind of infection one has. The same gene known to be carried by cystic fibrosis patients (no cure to date) is linked to APBA.

I do not wish to suggest that she cannot find effective treatment somehow. Again, she would need conclusive diagnosis, know exactly what form of aspergillosis and take it from there.

Particular strain appears to be of little interest in this respect.
