It's a big propaganda war between dairy and soy. Both are huge corporations happy to outdo each other in saying how bad the other is. Both have enough money to fabricate evidence either way and pay scientists to back up their conclusions, so neither can really be trusted.
Personally my health improved when I gave up dairy and replaced it almost by default with soy in the form of milk and tofu mostly. In the periods of my life I have been dairy free I have never had any difficulty with even the smallest of illnesses. Besides that to my mind animal milk isn't designed for humans, and the production of dairy and it's products involve unnecessary cruelty to animals. So my choice in the matter has never been in question.
