This is from a old book I have. The author of a paper in th Archives of Cermatology and Syphilology, volume 70, page 363, 1954, gave massive doses of vitamin C to 53 Acne patients, 43 of whom improved. Fifteen of these had been treaated for months or years by all the usual methods, without success.
The vitamin C consisted of an eight-ounce glass of citrus juice twice daily as well as three grams of ascorbic acid per day. In addition the patients were put on a diet free of chocolate, nuts and peanut butter, were told to clean their skin three times a day.
