probiotics, change in stools
Hello Shelley.
I've noticed that when I take probiotics in high amounts my stools become soft. Is this just because it takes time for things to regulate? I would like to work up to high amounts because I know that is what I really need. As I did many
Liver Flushes with
Epsom Salts (37 flushes), and without taking probiotics afterwards I developed food sensitivites and candida symptoms. So now I'm trying to restore the balance.
I don't have any bowel problems normally, but I notice a definite change after taking lots of probiotics(more than 10 billion CFU per day). Sometimes the stools will become more yellow, which I assume is due to a speed up in bowel transit time.
I am taking things to help with leaky gut, glutamine, slippery elm, enzymes. but I certainly don't get a bad reaction from probiotics only a change in bowel movements. I remember you saying they gave you a rash at first.
Common sense says keep the amount low until i can tolerate more, or stay at this dosage and see if things normalize. I would like to stay at a high dosage but don't want to waste my time. I was just wondering if this made any sense to you, or if you had anything to add.
Thanks a lot :)
