I started passing MPs ONLY after I started using Bentonite. Although I used Psylliumm alone for a long time, I did not see any MP until adding the Bentonite. Since it is clay, or volcanic ash, it draws the moisture (+ toxins) away from the intestinal walls, and thats what finally separates it from where it otherwise would remain stuck.
It's appearance is unmistakable: it's very dark (mine=almost black), tough, rubbery, looks like a piece of a tire, "emptied out sausage",it's very hard to pull apart, and has a v.bad smell.
I passed about 20 feet of it, not all at once, but in from 1 to 4 feet pieces.
