Actually, there is a lot of recent research supporting Kudzu root for reducing cravings. It is interesting to know that Kudzu contains a a substance which has a similar effect to Disulfiram (Antabuse).  Antabuse is an actual drug used to fight alcoholism, so it is perfectly fair to post about Kudzu here. Both Kudzu and Antabuse block the action of ALDH2 in the liver which breaks down acetaldehyde into acetate.  Acetaldehyde is not good for your liver, so if you truly have no intentions of trying to stop drinking, it is not a good idea to eat Kudzu all by itself.
