a new year...

12 months... 52 weeks... 365 days... 8,760 hours... 525,600 minutes... 31,536,000 seconds... all lived one heartbeat... one breath... one moment at a time... for an alcoholic... learning to stay in the moment is a bit much to ask for... for the fortunate ones that still have enough brain cells left to recognize the problem and are willing to go to any length to recover their unmanageable life there is hope...
that hope comes when one alcoholic talks to another alcoholic...

the reason i have been away from curezone for so long is because there are so many people here that think they have the answer... everyone wants to help... but only an alcoholic understands an alcoholic... understands what it is like to have that constant craving... that insatiable desire to drink...

so i say this to you... if you are an alcoholic... use prudence in deciding who to trust... this is not the best place in the world to share private information about yourself... what you say here might as well be put in the newspaper... that's the horror of it all... so many people here are so eager to help... and are so totally ignorant of how harmful they may be...

my heart and prayers go out to you during this time of merriment and celebration... may god look out for you and help you make it through this trying period...
