Day 7: I think my scale is wonky. Maybe too wonky to keep using. Today was a nice day. Enough energy. Enough sleep. Felt all around good. I'm starting to feel frustrated with the slowdown in weight loss. I understand a pound of fat holds 3500 calories, so if my daily activities consume maybe half that, it's going to take two days to consume a single pound. Okay the first few days of the fast I expect to eliminate water and other stuff so maybe those are a bit faster, but I seem to be settling down to a pound a day. If my understanding of fat calories is correct it could be settling down even further to half a pound a day. That may be hard to maintain for a long time, altough it certainly is faster than the pound a week I get from heavy gym exercise.
When I weighed myself on the scale today (of all days) it consistently says the same thing. Five pound loss from yesterday. How is that possible? I am so confused by the inconsistent results and have no reasonable explanation. Makes me crazy. I'm blaming the scale. Urgh. At least it wasn't a gain. That would be freaky.
