I would avoid pharmaceuticals if you can, they should only be used as a last resort. There is so much more that you can do naturally before you resort to what amounts to powerful synthetic chemicals that at first will help by masking symptoms, but will also end up contributing to your over all toxic load by congesting your liver, causing chemical imbalances in your brain and constipating your bowels. I have many friends that have taken antidepressants and they initially get better, but then eventually got worse.
How is your diet? Eliminate, caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, drugs, sugar, dairy, white flour, excess carbs,
food additives , artificial sweeteners etc. Drink only fresh water, eat only organic fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds, free range organic meat and eggs. Try to eat around 75% of your foods raw. Add fish, flax, olive and coconut oils to salads and for cooking. Buy a juicer and drink fresh juices with a greens foods daily. Go to an ND and get a
food allergy test done, when I did it revealed that many of the foods I was eating were causing problems.
Make certain that you get your bowels moving daily using herbal products such as
Dr. Schulze 's IF #1 and #2. Start a mild exercise routine to oxygenate your body, clean your blood and lymphatic system, such as walking, yoga or tai chi. Try going to a massage therapist or reflexologist a few times a month. Meditate with deep breathing and take longs walks in a natural environment surrounded by life. Say positive affirmations in the mirror all throughout the day such as, "I love being alive and I love who I am!" Consider going to talk with a therapist to deal with past issues that may have been repressed. Sun bathe for 10-15 minutes a day as naked as possible without sun screen.
Stop reading and watching the news or television all together. Consider a career change to something fulfilling that makes you truly happy. Spend more time around positive loving people who support you unconditionally. Sit down and write a list of short and long term goals that you really want to accomplish and then write out an action plan and time line to achieve those goals. Laugh as much as you can by watching funny movies or learning to tell more jokes.
