Re: Prolotherapy and it's dangers

Dear Angela,
I am so sorry for your negative experience. Prolotherapy, according to my research, is effective in about 85% of those who have it. Perhaps you are in that 15% who did not respond. It is unfortunate that your perception of the doctor and his staff was so negative. Not knowing them, it would be difficult to comment as others have had better experiences, it seems. Since you made a referentce to the Mayo Clinic in one of your messages, you may be interested to know that there are doctors at the Mayo Clinic, both in Rochester, MN and Jacksonville, FL, who perform prolotherapy. It is not a well known procedure and has taken the Mayo Clinic about 50 years to accept its validity. There was also an article about Prolotherapy in the Mayo Clinic Health Letter that has a very widespread circulation. If readers need more endorsements for the treatment they may want to Google Dr. C. Everett Koop and Prolotherapy. Dr. Koop is the U.S. Surgeon General from President Ronald Reagan's administration. He was helped tremendously by Prolotherapy and also was a practitioner of it. Many Prolotherapists have had the treatments themselves. I wish you well, Angela, and hope you are able to get help for your current issues. Perhaps you may have better luck with a Prolotherapist at Mayo Clinic.
God bless you.
