Re: Prolotherapy and it's dangers..NOT ME!

I was done prolotherapy to my knees on june and july 2006, only 2 treatments and the PAIN, STIFFNESS, INFLAMMATION, ETC. was totally gone! The doctor was Frank Morales who lives in San Diego, but also practises in Tijuana and Nuevo Progreso,he mainly does other types of treatments not related to prolotherapy (ozone,UV,chelation, etc.) so he was very honest he could do my knees but he wouldn´t do prolo on problems of the back.

I was injured in 2003 and had 3 years and a half of miserable pain!!! if I only had know of this before. I saw his certificates on prolo hanged on the wall of his clinic (he got his diploma from Ross Hauser from Illinois)...so I felt pretty confident it will help me dispite all the orthopedic doctors I consulted told me they didn´t know of this treatment and that I should beware of this "techniques" that few people knew..that probably it was quaquery and that they could hit a nerve and I would be worse...

I had problems in my ligaments, tendons and the meniscous of my right knee. I had a fail from a horse in january 2003 and blew both of my knees and dispite all the REHABILITATION..I mean physiotherapy..and some oral supplements (vit C, glucosamine, chondroitin, msm)...I could walk..but no jogging..no squats...I had difficulty going down stairs because of MY UNSTABLE KNEES..

WELL NOT ANYMORE!! yes..he injected first xylocaine..and then about 8 injections in one and like 12 in the other...then I felt STIFF...and couldn walk...only from my bed to bathroom for 2 days..then 2 other days of less inflammation and pain..then the inflammation subsided and the pain gone..then pain reappeared but like 50% less..and had my 2nd. session..and then..I though pain would return..not anymore..asked the doctor if needed more sessions..he said NO...(very honest from him..not to do more..to charge more...)
