Re: Prolotherapy and it's dangers...to angela
angela,
I am so sorry that you had this done to your self. We do tend to try almost anything at times to get out of pain. I did not know what this therapy was, so I did a fast search on google and this came up:
Prolotherapy uses a dextrose (sugar water) solution, which is injected into the ligament or tendon where it attaches to the bone. This causes a localized inflammation in these weak areas which then increases the blood supply and flow of nutrients and stimulates the tissue to repair itself.
I wish I had some helpful advice or suggestion for you, but I do not. I know that others will come along and be able to help you.
Thanks for your post. Maybe besides getting some kind of help for your self here at curezone, your post will stop some other unsuspecting persons from getting this kind of therapy done to them.
Hang in there, you have come to the right place. There are lots of people that read and post here and I am sure they will be along soon.
