Angela,
Sorry that you had such a bad experience with the prolotherapy, it is normally done with very small needles, and with x-ray for guidence when involved with the spine. It is possible you were seeing a physician that was not experienced with this kind of treatment. Is this Dr a rehab Doc that specialized with rehab techniques? It sounds as if you recieved some nerve damage by the injections.
Are you taking any kind of meds that reduce the nerve pain, or getting physical therapy so you can function again?
I know a group of rehab physicians in the area we live in and the success rate for reducing the pain with prolotherapy is phenomenal, but they also do many other kinds of therapy, the prolotherapy is used mostly on conditions that are chronic, or to supplement other prior suregeries.

So sad you are suffering so.
