Re: Prolotherapy and it's dangers
I have also had a nightmare experience with prolotherapy.
Originally, I went and got my knee done, but I had gotten an MRI done first. I was so pleased with my knee that I went back and got both my hips done, but trusted the doctor so much that I did not get an MRI not even an x-ray and they put about 11 needles in each hip. This procedure was done 2 days before Thanksgiving 2015. Within a week all the muscles surrounding my hips and my gluteous max seized up to the point that everything was hard as a rock.
After seeing a massage therapist, which helped a little, I decided to go ahead and get an MRI. That MRI showed 75% bone loss in my right hip.
With having only very moderate pain prior to this last procedure I am now faced with a full right hip replacement and will eventually have to get my left hip replaced.
How could I have possibly gone from only very moderate pain to a hip replacement in a matter of 3 months.
The holistic doctor, who viewed the MRI results still was trying to get me to come in and try cold laser therapy. He should have been telling me to call an ortho immediately.
Please, anyone out there who may have had a similar reaction, I would love to hear from you.
Thank you and good health to all
