Re: Have you had PROLOTHERAPY??
SheRa42 and anyone else:
I also have severe hypermobility throughout all my joints. I have been suffering from it for 20 years. NOTHING has helped at all until I recently started prolotherapy. I have been doing 150 cc's per treatment for over a dozen times within the last six months. I am mainly doing heavy (5-8 cc's) of Sodium Morrhuate now, because the dextrose wasn't working for more than a couple of weeks. I am far from cured, but for the first time in 20 years, many of my joints are somewhat stable. I am praying that the results are long term or permanent, but that remains to be seen.
I recently went to an ortho because I am facing surgery for some of the irreversable damage done prior to prolo. The ortho(s) disagreed that I was hypermobile. Well, the reason those joints aren't as loose as they were is completely due to prolotherapy.
My hips and knees have not responded as well to the treatments (yet). So, instead of doing 150 cc's, I am going to do fewer and focus on specific areas. I just don't think my body can heal "everything" at once, so this may work better.
