I didn't know what is was called back in 1981 when I was getting it, but I know it was experimental then and was given to me as an alternative to injections of Cortizone.
I had two cracks on my bottom vertebra (sp?) one crack on each side, and was barely able to walk or stand. The doctor injected me in 10 places in my lower back right around my spine with what he called a Sugar Solution. He gave me injections of Valium for the pain of the procedure but I found it was less painfull without the Valium because the Valium only removed my ability to fight the pain with my mind.
