for now mark sisson may have more muscle than dr. fuhrman. in time, i can guarantee you that sisson will have health problems. keep in mind he was a competitive athlete for many years so he is able to push the envelope a little bit further than the average joe. he, like most of the paleo people, is an adrenaline addict. and one of the best ways to get a steady rush of adrenaline is to eat plenty of animal protein. eventually you have to pay the piper for the high.

when illness comes for these people it comes swiftly and profoundly, and often in these cases there is no recourse because their whole identity and physicality is tied too intimately with their protein addictions.

i hope you can be one of the exceptions as there are always exceptions, but the odds are against you.

small amounts of animal protein may not be damaging or possibly even beneficial, but when it is upward of 30=40% of total caloric intake you are just playing with fire.

also, with due respect, picking two people out as representative examples is kind of foolish.
