I do not think I have candida due to the things I have tried for candida not really making a difference(Low sugar/carb, gaps, low fodmap, oil of oregano, garlic, kefir, etc) and my symptoms not matching (no real gas or gas pain, nausea, die off, etc).
I don't remember mentioning craving alkaline foods or any foods for that matter. I don't really get craving I just get hungry.
I have also heard that the body maintains a very tight ph that hardly changes regardless of the ph of foods consumed.
I am inclined to believe that the benefits from that sort of diet are due to the removal of bad foods and addition of good ones and nothing to do with body ph.
