Re: New here - My (lengthy)story

I'm already being labeled a crazy! LOL! I am pretty open and on facebook, I have a couple ppl tracking my posts and half are saying I better be careful, the other half has done some reading and wants to jump on board. The point is, people are not going to read enuf to know what I know unless they are so fed up with feeling how I did.
I had rea about a month's worth of info and secretly stalked this and other forums just reading everything I could. I feel like I can defend my choices better when i am more knowledgeable about them...which should be the obvious to others. Why would anyone assume I'd just try anything when my health and quality of life is already so compromised?
I believe you trapper. My eyes have slowly been opening to a lot of things for years. i just finally got to a place where I could focus on my goals to get better and have the finances to change my lifestyle a bit.
I already buy organic when and where I can and where it matters (thin-skinned fruit, meats, juices). I still have snacks in the house but even outsiders think we were health nuts because we snack on trail mix. Little did they know, everything is poison! I already knew a lot about the food and polluted air and cleaning chemicals but did not know about iodine.
My husband and I are going to have a "craft" day with the kids. We are going to make all our own products. Toothpaste, shampoo, soap, even make-up maybe. I think the kids would respect their stuff more and use it sparingly instead of smearing it all over my darn toilet (3 yr old did this Monday) if they had a hand in creating it.
Anyway, I am slowly moving into a better lifestyle. One that I know I will get a ton of flack for but I'm done caring. Not that i cared much before but I KNOW I will be better for it so I care even less.
I'm very excited abuot my new life!
