Re: New here - My (lengthy)story
wombat - wow, reading that girl's story was scary. I was even a marketing exec at one point! lol
i DO believe my scoliosis has more of a stamp on my overall health than my doctor would admit to. All i ever hear is "ur scoliosis is so mild and has not progressed and should not hurt or make it harder for you to do anything."
Well, my neck always feels off, my shoulders are not level, I always lose my balance and my back still hurts...even now with the iodine, i am able to differentitate between what was fibro and what is a spinal issue. I was also told that bulging discs in my neck should not hurt and will fix itself. From what I can gather, I think that my curving back is pulling my muscles in ways they dont want to go and therefore causing spasms that have been pushing out my disc. Most of my pain is under my right shoulder blade.
I'm glad that this girl could grin thru the spasms because when i feel one coming, I start to wish we owned a gun. I am not exaggerating. I don't know how else to describe it. I have had maybe two mild ones that have come and gone fast enuf to let me continue what i was doing after a short break but i am still exhausted afterwards.
None of this happened until after my 1st child. She was tiny, even tho I gained 50+ lbs with her. Is it possible that being pregnant or getting an epidural would have caused this?
