It seems many here are working towards meditation. I know a lot of the meditation we start with is passive, but I'm wondering if many of you have gone from listening to more participatory meditation.
Typically this means sitting and meditating for half an hour or so. There are many flavours of sitting meditation. One is Loving Kindness. Once I gained competency in sitting meditation then trying Loving Kindness was an amazing drug. AFers get disassociated - me more than most. Loving Kindness awoke that part of me again. That was fantastic.
Sitting meditation isn't the only meditation. Personally Yoga in the am works best for me, perhaps followed by meditation.
So what meditations are you doing? Did you get the same effect from Loving Kindness as I did? Or yet to try it?
