Re: How to treat a huge external tumor.

Now I know that the external wound from cancer is called a malignant fungating wound. No cure for it as far as the medical communities are concerned. They do not even try to help with it. $600 worth of Imunocol by Imunotech for Glutathione did NOT even start to slow it down.

One new thing to add that might help some people with this type of wound. Found out that a professional off label use of Nasal Spray with Oxymetazoline HCI in it can be used to stop bleeding. Just spray it on some cause then apply it and let it sit for a minute. Then you should be able to pull back without the bleeding so you can put new bandages on.

Don't forget to try and get some Adaptec Non-Adhering Dressing if you can. That prevents bleeding during bandage changing.

I personally took care of this wound on my girl friend until she passed away about a month ago.

I just hope some of this info will help some others that are going through this extremely painful ordeal.
