Re: Coffee Enema Supported by Gerson, Rogers, & Cousens
Gerson believed it axiomatic that cancer could not exist in normal metabolism. He pointed to the fact that scientists often had to damage an animal’s thyroid and adrenals just to get a transplanted tumor to “take.†He directed his efforts toward creating normal metabolism in the tissue surrounding a tumor.
This is one of the greatest examples of twisted misinformation i have seen in a long time!!!! Tumors are transplanted between animals all the time in research. But the animals are frequently bred to be immunosuppressed to begin with. Why do they have to do this? Simple, because they are transplanting FOREIGN TISSUE, which is an antigen. So the immune system attacks and destroys the foreign tissue if the immune system is not suppressed. So there is a big difference between a cancer developed in the body itself and transferring a cancer to a foreign body. This is simple common sense, yet I see this same garbage statement being spread all over the net. Just like the claim that Warburg said that cancer cannot survive in a high oxygen atmosphere, which is NOT what he said. But people read someone's website and since they are often too lazy to research the claim they just accept it no questions asked. Worse yet is the claims grow from there. I was listening to one naturopathic doctor that expanded on the supposed Warburg claim by stating that Warburg claimed that NO disease can survive in a high oxygen atmosphere. Again this is not even close to what Warburg said. It reminds me of the game where you start with a simple phrase that you whisper in to someone's ear. Then that person whispers it in to the ear of the next person and so on and so forth. By the time the phrase reaches the last person it is nothing like the original phrase.
The research by Sherry Rodgers, MD author of Detox or Die, suggests that there is no stimulatory effect of the adrenals from a coffee enema. The personal experience of Gabriel Cousens, MD supports her findings.
Apparently not everyone agrees with them. Here is a quote from an alternative detox site promoting coffee enemas:
http://www.how-to-detox-the-body.com/coffee-enema.html
"The only harmful thing about the coffee enema is that they are tough on your adrenal glands (stress glands). Because of this, when I did it, I got bloodshot eyes (a sign of stress to your system). I imagine that this won't happen to most people (I think that I have weak adrenal glands in general). Despite the bloodshot eyes (which go away in a day or two), I think that it was a very good procedure and I highly recommend it."
What is most scary is that these are medical doctors and they have absolutely NO clue how things work in the body!!! They sound a lot like conventional medical doctors.
