Re: Fuhrman / Fasting / Fitness? Where to now?
Oh sorry, I should have spotted the smiley :)
I will look into Chris's diet and respond when I have time, a bit busy now trying to learn this one, and I have one or two other things going on. That's half the problem, I am not sure what it is I am committing to.
Briefly though, to Chris as well, Fuhrman does point out some problems with all raw. Not serious problems, I think both diets are good, but this is largely raw too. You can also make soups from what I know, that way any goodness that goes out of the veg will still be in the soup. The problems mentioned are in one of the videos I posted, I think something about not digesting the enzymes.
What I don't like about this though is there are beans in it, and I don't know anything about beans. The only beans I know come in a tin with Heinz written on it. And unfortunately most beans I came across on my Fuhrman shopping trip today were either dried or canned, which I am not so keen on. I also think some of the names are American, and may be different to UK.
The other thing is we have 6
inches of snow here. I think I would prefer soup (it's delicious) to fasting right now. And I really wan't to get fit, but fasting is not so good for that.
Lastly, been doing my homework on this diet (always do) and found there are currently 820 posts containing Fuhrman across Curezone of which 568 are in
Water Fasting //www.curezone.org/forums/search.asp?q=fuhrman&action=CureZone+Search&f=335
Obviously I can't read them all, he is clearly popular, a few quick scans show he is well respected, and of course we know he approves of fasting, as he has written a book on it (which I will eventually read). I found this post
//www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=686651#i
which I liked, I can join his forum and this guy thinks its worth it (around $8 a month).
Right now I am busy digesting - words - and I am probably digesting them too quickly, but I need to :)
