Right now I'm reading "The Pleasure Trap" by Alan Goldhamer. I wish I read this first before Fuhrman, it gives you a foundation to follow this diet and will answer a lot of the questions you have about it and make it more clear. I would recommended reading it before you read "Fasting and Eating for Health". It will REALLY make everything more clear.
It's great your starting the diet. I'm starting it full force once I through fasting. I had the same problem after the last time fasted. I stuck to healthy eating for a while but would slip into eating a bad thing here and there and end up eating mostly junk. Then I finally got myself to do the ETL, and felt so satisfied and content on it, though the weight loss wasn't dramatic but it was only a week. I had a hard time giving up the salt. So I am fasting, to get my weight down, and make it easier to give up the salt.
