Re: anyone who has fasted please help!

If you have a good diet you should be able to go on a long fast. Your belief that you need food is the generally accepted medical belief. If you know anything about the medical system you will know that it's based on treating symptoms and not causes. Everyone is conditioned to have false beliefs based on corporate agendas. You can see from this forum that people have done fasts of 40 days and longer.

The main thing that will make fasting easier is to drink only pure distilled, reverse osmosis, or good bottles spring water. Tap water has many harmful chemicals. Have nothing else but water. After a number of days it will become easy to keep going because you won't be hungry. If you feel like eating you can think yourself out of it because this is so easy and you're losing about a pound a day. Don't exercise or exert yourself physically. Keep your mind busy by reading books or other mental activities. If you feel weak or ill it's only your body getting rid of toxins. If you can't deal with the symptoms you should stop the fast and try again another time.

The last thing is that you should work on improving you diet if you don't want to gain the weight back. The book "Eat to Live" by Joel Fuhrman is a good starting point, although I don't agree that all fats should be cut so much. Good luck.
