Re: anyajb12 Re: anyone who has fasted please help! EDIT BY MOD
Hello #89966,
my choice of the word diatribe may have been a little harsh, but I still stand by my original posts in their context and general view of the member anyajb12.
As you say the content of her post may have been accurate, but this "bull in a china shop approach" was I feel unduly harsh and critical, and where the language expressed was not only coarse but vulgar and unwarranted.
This is just not the type of behavior that encourages new and/or existing members, hence my resulting posts.
We live in a so-called civilized society that has certain standards to abide by, and where rudeness and insults are just not acceptable. There is a lesson to be learned here by anyajb12 in how to properly communicate with your fellow human beings, which should be with a degree of civility and warmth and which were entirely lacking.
Honesty does not have to be accompanied by rudeness and which I would personally find to be distasteful, insulting, and uncaring.
If you find that this forum has gathered a lot of mentally ill individuals then where do you receive this information from? & what experience do you offer for this diagnosis to be made?
Your notion that "Adults who have not matured into adulthood" may apply to some members, and where this may be revealed by petty posts and the insecurities of these individuals, but then this could easily apply to all of us who do not adhere to unfair and blatantly rude criticism. Do you like criticism? and would you respond to someone who unduly criticizes you? Of course you would, because you would not like the thought of other people having the wrong impression of who and what you are and stand for.
I have read your post re' positive-only feedback and where this cannot be said for this members approach, which offered only negativity.
A positive post would be constructive and helpful to other members, and where a negative one would only have the opposite effect.
This is not the ideal to which this forum aspires to.
This is also the only thing I need to learn from positive/negative feedback and where the latter has no pace here.
Regards
Chrisb1.
