Re: Blastocystis H. and Dientamoeba F?
That's exactly the protocol I don't really agree with unless if someone is 110 lbs (50kg). At least it wouldn't work for someone who had this for years like me. And it doesn't cost more then a couple of hundred dollars.
Here's the math:
Nitazoxanide for 10 days, you need 45 pills, which is 8 packs at 6 pills each.
the price per pack is $20 x 8 = $160
Tinidazole (listed as Fasigyn) is $25 for 32 pills of 500mg, and you need also 45 pills for 10 days, so that's 2 packs at the most which is $50 USD.
Furoxone you only need one pack which is $13.60 so your grand total for those three is $223 USD.
As for the protocol you listed here, I think it is not strong enough as I said earler. Nitazoxanide should be taken three times per day to maintain it's blood level, and one should take 750mg each time. Secnidazole is not as strong as Tinidazole, and the dosage should be 2000mg per day whichever nitroimidazole medication you take - Metronidazole, Tinidazole or Secnidazole (750mg x 3 = 2150 which is just right as Tinidazole is 12% protein bound so some 6% - 12% will be lost as Nitazoxanide is 100% protein bound). Of course it doesn't mean that many people could be cured by sticking to that protocol, but I am afraid that risk is too great: not taking a strong enough dose will help make those
parasites resistant to medication and then you are really screwed as there are no better alternatives to those meds that I listed, except maybe a Rife machine but good like finding one powerful enough so that really helps.
Furazolidone is OK at 100mg tid, as it's mostly used to kill all other bacteria which support amoebas.
