Your calculation is wrong. I paid a few hundred dollars for my meds. The most expensive is Paromomycin which you cannot skip - parasites will come back if you don't take it at the end of your treatment for at least 10 days if not more. You need to take about 750mg of paromomycin tid, which comes to many many pills over 15 days (as they are typically 250mg pills), which comes to a few hundred dollars if not more... that one is expensive.
