Re: Blastocystis H. and Dientamoeba F?

Yes your glands will be exhausted by the constant struggle. parasites also produce their own hormones and use up ours to make the whole thing worse.

As for doctors, I also tried that route, and have to say that I was in the similar situation to yours. In essence, they are not only very irrational with their thinking, but above all they are simply uneducated. When a doctor makes such a broad statement as "there are no parasites in the US" or "nothing is wrong with you", you know you are dealing with a dangerous m*o*o*n who can't even read books or studies.

Truth is - there are many many parasites in the US, especially in the warmer ares like New Mexico, Texas, Florida and California. Do doctors believe that parasites somehow magically stop at the border? We can't even stop illegal immigration at the border.

As for the medication you took, the three day route was very very dangerous. The problem is that parasites are very quick to adopt to a new situation and there are already many strains which are resistant to medications because they have been exposed to low levels of medications.

Read up everything from the link I left, all of my responses to get a whole picture. It is not pretty and certainly not easy. I think that there are almost no doctors in the US capable of dealing with this issue properly, except for those researchers who know all about how hard it is to detect parasites, and who studied that for years. I did come across a few papers that were spot on, but who knows where those researchers are and if they even work with the public. But ordinary MDs as well as tropical disease specialists are a sad bunch of most incompetent amateurs I've ever met.

In a major university hospital, a leading tropical disease clinic in the country and the whole world, the main doctor tells me that I can't be having an amebiasis as I don't look like I do. That's his reasoning. When I asked him to try medication to see if my symptoms change, he said that there is no cure for amebiasis. When I asked him to do a test for Dientamoeba fragilis, he said that bacteriodes fragilis are not dangerous. I told him then that I wasn't talking about bacteria but amoeba fragilis, and he still continued about bacteria fragilis. Then I asked him if he understood what I said, and he just continued about the bacteria not even aware that he doesn't know the difference between an amoeba and bacteria.

So what are the chances of our finding a knowledgeable doctor elsewhere if the top clinic in the country, at one of the top universities has such "doctors"??? Bordering with none.

As for getting a hold of medication, I got mine from
http://www.medsmex.com

However, the last medication that one needs to take - Paromomycin (aka Humatin, Gabroral) - is not available on that site. I don't know of any online source for it, except canadian pharmacies which require prescriiption. So I had some friends by some for me when they were travelling abroad, as it is easily bought over the counter in many countries such as: Hong Kong, Thailand, Italy, Austria, Bulgaria, etc.

Alternatively instead of Paromomycin you may want to buy Iodoquinol (which is available from medsmex.com), however, it is a very toxic drug that does get absorbed into the bloodstream (idealy luminal amebicides should not be absorbed into the bloodstream), so I wanted to stay away from it. Normally it shouldn't hurt one, but it could, and when it does it causes blindness and other problems.
