This is the type of help I was looking for. Thank you and if you want, feel free to email me directly, I may have a ton of questions for you.
She came to me today and asked if we were going to meet tomorrow. I told her of course we are. Our meeting was set up for Friday. So, I will help her when I can, when she is willing to open up and talk. I know she trusts me, she sometimes falls asleep in my room. I am able to touch her arm and shoulder w/out her showing fear or distress. I want to be there for her, to get her strong and stable enough where she will let me take her to someone more skilled and qualified in this area. I just cant see abandoning her because I lack the skills. Yet I dont want to create further trauma by saying or doing something wrong. Yet I feel fairly certain that even if i were to make mistakes, it wouldnt be too horrendous because she knows I'm there to try to help, not hurt...so i hope you see my confusion. The instructors I deal with give me different guidance, advisors all have their opinion, yet you are the only one who has seen what I am saying. She feels safe with me, and I know I need direction, which is why I am here.
