I was wondering if anyone has tried homeopathic remedies to cure their Lichen Planus. I was told I have oral and I have only a few spots on my skin. I found a few different websites offering homeopathic remedies to cure Lichen Planus but wanted to see if anyone had any success with it first. I have gotten lucky and have gotten a doctor to give me intraveneous doses of vitamin c over the past 9 days for Hep C and oral lichen planus. Try an over-the-counter antihistamine like Claritin or a generic equivalent (10 mg Loratadine) 1x daily. It’s widely available and has become more affordable--especially the generic versions. I also have had oral lichen planus for almost 2 years now. I have been to over 20 doctors, half of which didn’t even know what it was and the other half told me that there is no cure. It is very painful and at one point I could only eat liquids and dropped 25 pounds in the process (the only upside, trust me!) I have Hep C so lichen planus is one of the side effects. I can completely relate ... I’ve just been started on this compound cream because of an all over body itch. Hi, my dentist said I probably have lichen planus on the inside of my mouth on one side. I can feel the ridge with my tongue. I noticed today when I ate a banana that it seemed to bother it abit but otherwise I don’t notice it. When I first was diagnosed with Lichen Planus I immediately scoured the internet for any adivce on how to make this embarrasing skin problem go away. 1 year later, I found something that works for ME! Hi Guys Im a 21 year old female who’s been suffering with LP all over my body for about 6 months now. Ive been on steroid tablets or ointment for most of the 6 months and the roughness of the plaques has seem to gone now. however im left with dark brown marks now, which are apparently worse on darker skins (im indian). Dear IG, Another thing I remembered. Lichen Planus is supposed to be stress-related. As are cold sores. When I had that sore I mentioned before, one web site said to dissolve a sedative pill in water and swish it in the mouth to get relief. Now, I don’t know if you took some Valium or whatever and swished it in your mouth if it would cure the LP. But maybe it would soothe the affected area, and you sure would not be worrying as much.
