Re: Lichen Planus and Other Inflammatory Skin Diseases

Hi Joe,
This is LPL. I just joined the forum. I am 64 years old and have had LP for 6 years. I have it in my eyes, mouth, esophagus, nails, and genitals. I,also, have a skin rash break out mostly on my arms, and something going on with my ears...constant draining which has left me wearing hearing aids. When I first got sick, I lost 30 pounds in a month. I, too, have seen to many specialists and they basicly get tired of seening me because they don't know how to help.

I stay away from sweet foods. No carbonated drinks or alcohol. I try home remedies. I take slippery elm for my throat and folic acid for the immune system. I use the infrared (dry heat)sauna. I have used a lot of different herbs and were recommended by an homeopathic doctor. I have seen a little change, but not much. I still have all the symptoms, but in a lesser degree. I believe it all has to do with the immune system.

I wish you well.
