For example, if you have a fat malaborption problem it would be harder to absorb fat-soluble vitamins like vitamin A and E. I also learned from GI doctor that different parts of the intestine absorb different vitamins meaning if a certain part of your intestines was damaged, it will affect absorption of the vitamin that gets absorbed in that area.
