Re: Oil Pulling and Lichen planus

Dear Gardener,

I have to say that Lichen Planus sounds dreadful. I had a giant sore on the bottom of my tongue last fall after I started OP, and of all the things I have ever had, this was *maddening.*

Search on the CZ engine to come up with more peoples' experience and suggestions.

I will say that the condition is similar to this cold-sore thing in that it seems to be elicited by stress (and then it also probably causes a great deal of its own so becomes self-perpetuating? sheesh). I think OP will help your sister on several levels:

1) it will clear toxins. Trapper says it is like mini-dialysis.
2) it is so helpful on the mouth-health front. nothing else like it.
3) finally, it will help with mood. LP sounds at least somewhat mood-related or stimulated.

My heart goes out to her and I hope she can get it cleared up soon. I do think Rudenski's post was the one worth paying attention to, but I don't think he knew about OP when he wrote that. So, everything he said, PLUS a mouthful of oil! I don't believe for a second when the doctors say that it is not treatable. They just don't know how to treat it.

If she goes the medication route, Debacterol is supposed to be the bomb for canker sores.

Take care and good luck!

Laura
